Of course, the Hershey Rose Gardens are closed for the season.
It IS November! All the roses are dead and the butterflies are
gone. Oh! I forgot to tell you that in Hershey Gardens, they have
a Butterfly house that you can tour and see many, many different
varieties of butterflies. Connie has posted a picture at the bottom
of this page which she took when she visited in September, 2002,
for you to see. When in bloom, the rose garden is beautiful. Many
weddings take place in the summer in the Hershey Rose garden. There
are special sections in the gardens too. There is a Children's Garden,
an herb garden, and the Rose Garden of Mrs. Hershey.
The Gardens sit on top of a hill and overlook Hershey.
You can see HersheyPark from the Rose Garden. If you look
real close, to the right in the picture, you can see the Kissing Tower at
the park. Look even closer to the left, and you can see one (1) of the
smokestacks at the Hershey Candy factory. If you click the words which
are underlined above, you can see a map of HersheyPark.
